Fresh off a failed summer
Have you ever dropped your kids off on the first day of school and after the door slams shut you burst into tears because “that shit (summer) was hard”?
The Grief of today-How the disciples must have felt as the sun rose.
The day after death.
The disciples were often not quite sure of things. They KNEW who Jesus was but their flesh couldn’t understand what God was doing. They often asked Jesus. “What do you mean?”, “Where are you going?”, “How do we get there, again?”,
This is not a time to make our kids feel the magic of Christmas.
When our kids understand how many centuries it took for Jesus to be born, they can better understand the anticipation and aww that we experience in remembering the day of Jesus’ birth.
He is the same God
Sister, The same God who parted the sea is making a way for you now. Think about that…
I asked God, “How much do you love me?”
I have noticed lately, a lot of Christians these days don’t see the importance of understanding who Jesus actually is. They are of the understanding that we can’t really know exactly who He was and if we try, we are only fooling ourselves. There is also an idea that somehow we are or can be equal to Jesus. That we have exactly the same qualities as He and all we have to do is believe it.
We are freed through repentance BUT not free from repentance
When our endurance to follow Jesus feels like its on empty, repentance is our fill up. It’s our gas pump that refills out tank with the truth of who God is and who we are NOT.
Would you wash their feet?
Would you wash Joe Biden’s feet? Would you wash Donald Trumps feet? Your best friend who lied to you? Your spouse who betrayed you? Your sister, your brother, you father’s? Would you wash their feet? …… can I tell you, you should and so should I. Jesus would. Jesus did.
